Re: In Service to the Margravine

I watched them go sadly; they were outnumbered twenty to one. "Who the Hell is in that yacht?" I wondered. " You don't know? " the Zerstorer pilot asked quietly, " That is the personal yacht of Tsar Nikolas IX of Oreseren. His family is coming to join him after political ex...

It's the best game ever!

I've been watching WAY too many let's plays and steam play throughs than is healthy. And it has occurred to me that the games industry is slowly feeling around for the "perfect" Sci-fi game. A lot of people are trying to find it but falling down on one thing or the other so my question is ...

Re: The U.S. election - the aftermath

I wouldn't go underestimating the man. (and no I'm not defending him) He is a sales man this time he was selling himself and he succeeded. Problem is making good on all the things he promised. Some of which could turn out to be unrealisable. Then you have ask does it really matter if he does. Maybe ...

Re: The U.S. election - the aftermath

The "unofficial" polls - that is, the many polls conducted by alt media sites on the internet - recorded 70 to 90 % in favor of Trump over Hilliary. That pretty much reflected the huge crowds Trump drew to his rallies, as opposed to the rather small crowds Hillary got. The voting map also...

Re: The U.S. election - please vote

Every single forum post in relation to this subject matter on the number of forums I frequent is in the process of ending badly.

Sometimes you've just got to stand back and let it all be. We will see where this goes. It's not like anyone has a choice any more.

Re: The Sledge Hammer and the Mouse.

ClymAngus!!! I was hoping more of the old gang would wander in! Very glad to see you! I never read C.O. I did however see the movie. };] Slaughter is a better word for what I am doing I think... That film has something for everyone. A true examination of what it means to walk out into the world and...

Re: The Sledge Hammer and the Mouse.

It's Mr P back in business. Excellent. Playing with the nature of language eh? I haven't seen that since clockwork orange (now there was a chewy book that demanded the attention of the reader). It's quite possible that I don't read enough. A brave act, decimating the queens English to illustrate the...

Re: EU referendum

The problem here, the one which we are all studiously avoiding. Is the main symptom of the British disease. We are stubborn. Whichever way this referendum was going to go the loosing side was going to get stubborn about loosing. And we have, in one of the only way the British know how; saying "...

Re: Belkin Nostromo N52

I have one of these and find it invaluable, I would however have a relatively up to date computer to run it some of the older belkins can only be reprogrammed with an older mac (I think their PC compatibility is much more forgiving however). I find mine well built and practically halves my reaction ...

Re: EU referendum

Should us yanks be happy or sad that the Brits finally showed some hutzpah? If the pound keeps taking the exchange rate beasting its had this morning by mid afternoon you'd be able to BUY a sizable chunk of Quaint little merry old England for about 50 cents. More generally, if you want to know how ...

Brexiteers unfurled their UJ's with great care.
