We all agreed about a warning for Q-Mines.

Hello.

Maybe running an instance of the game as root caused the process to change ownership to some file.

Try a find in your home directory to see if you can figure out where it is.

Joystick limitations

Hello, I am trying to use a Saitek X52 flight control system http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52.htm witch has _drum_roll_ 11 axis and 32 buttons. I'm experiencing several limitations using it with Oolite (linux version). Although I can assign any of the control's buttons/axis to functions specified i...

If you don't like this idea you simply should de-install RS.
No, I really love this idea. I would be a little disappointed in having my ship's stats different than those I had originally.

Ciao Pasquale,

as far as I know there's no such list, since Oolite doesn't access hardware directly. I think you should try your stick on anoter setup (say windows or a different linux distribution).

It will probably work, I'm quite sure it depends on your specific setup.

Bye

Thank you.

Imperial Courier (Navy)

Hello, after being away for a couple of years I restarted playing Oolite. My old savefile was on 1.65 version, I had a fully equipped Imperial Courier. I upgraded to last Oolite version a few days ago, installing also Realistic Shipyard, I noticed my Imperial Courier is now seen as 'Imperial Courier...

Yes you are both right.

If I do:

Code: Select all

cat Linux-x86/release.txt
1.71.2
But if I do:

Code: Select all

cat Oolite/release.txt
1.65
This means there's a problem with rsync, not with your oxp. I'll move to Linux forum to see how to solve it.

Thank you.

A solution to uber ships would just be that desingers included a reasonable chance of an OXP player ship appearing as a pirate. This makes some sense. The chance sould be greater if the player is flying that ship. Otherwise, if you install an 'uber' OXP, and you are playing on a Adder, you'll get y...

Any ships pushing one characteristic would lose out on others automatically. I think we need a choice. If there's a complete freedom in ship's design, we have to accept price as unique variant for every ship we have in OXP. On the other hand if we want to balace ships in the way RPGs do, it's cruci...
