Oolite Bulletins

I had some troubles opening the texture with wings3d on my linux box. I ended up fixing it by opening the .png with the gimp, saving as bitmap and adding it again as "diffuse" to the Outliner.

If I remember correctly from the MSX version of ELITE I used to play,
the right on commander message also was displayed each time a new elite ranking is reached.
I checked the code (v660) and it seems it only displays it every 256 kills.
Anyone else remember this more accurately?
