I see the Oolite Community hasn't lost it's bizarre sense of humor, and infatuation with cats, large brains, and generally mucking about! I must say, I was irked that Marathon didn't make it on that list. I mean, the first game to feature dual wielding, one of the first to implement 2.5d to good use...

I purchased an iMac 2 years ago. this rekindling of Oolite makes me want to test drive my 24" screen now!
2.16 gighrz drive, 128 mb graphics card Nvidia (7600?), 2 gigs RAM. I'm going to load this baby out with everything i can throw at it.

I suggest, if you computer can handle it, getting all the OXP's one can get. Its well worth the shiny new additions to everything, as well as all the ship models, that i stare at for hours, drooling at ^.^

Hmm. I think it was either 2 things. Most Likely the Mac downloads page, as thats where ive found every fringe game, or I think i Googled "Space Sim Flight Game Free", and after much trawling hit upon Oolite
