Re: Constrictor Mission (*Some Spoilers*)...

Wow, he abandoned ship again! I wonder if I should leave the abandoned ship at the witchspace point, hurry to the planet, and save? Does flotsam get saved? Or is it forgotten with a save? Of course, others may take care of it before I return... ---- Ok here's what I've learned. I left the derelict a...

Re: Constrictor Mission (*Some Spoilers*)...

Confirmed, I am pausing 4b68e0c to dispatch this note, as I have just met the constrictor (reborn!) at the witchspace buoy. I suppose it's possible to create an infinite number of OXPs or OXZs that break even the original Elite missions. I believe the deep space dredger OXZ or OXP provides a bonus -...

Re: Constrictor Mission (*Some Spoilers*)...

The original recycling bug: ...that ship was placed in the recycling area for ships... ... I may have discovered another "recycling" bug... First, I'd like to express my thanks to everyone for the help on the constrictor hunt -- I'd never have succeeded without the "F7" hint! LOL...

Re: Trunk nightly

Reporting on nightly build 4b68e0c: it works great for my set-up, with no issues noted. Activities include trading, passenger contracts, parcel delivery contracts, and a lot more fighting. I am very un-Elite, so it also includes quite a few reloads. Unrelated to the nightly build, I think my bad hab...

Re: Trunk nightly

Today I played 7eae3c8-dev.x64 through about 50 system jumps, with many passenger and parcel contract deliveries and quite a few combats. I've also installed ambiences recommended by Norby, which have been quite fun. No issues. I found it quite cool that one of those OXZs has ship exhibitions, almos...

Trunk nightly - no issues with 1.85.0.6940-170609-feb6270

I recently downloaded the latest nightly trunk, and have run through about 70 trade-launch-jump-dock cycles without any program issues. Together, these have constituted several contract runs from one side of the chart to the other, initially accepting a high valued contract, then accepting all contr...

Re: Split: Crash and fullscreen problem

You're spot on, "oolite.exe -nosplash" prevents full screen from crossing multiple screens on my AMD Radeon dual monitor setup!

Thanks!

Re: Oolite version number confusion

Funny, that windowed mode title was right under my nose! Thanks, that's very handy.

Oolite v1.85 May 27 2017 has no obvious artifiacts -- it's working great. I've just finished maxing out the Cobra Mk III (mostly), but haven't started the hunt yet.

As always, what a great bit of fun! Thx!

Oolite version number confusion

I've been experimenting with five different versions of Oolite, and recently I've found myself thinking I was using one version of Oolite, when in fact I was using another. Is there a simple way to test which version of Oolite is currently running? The trunk versions conveniently list the version nu...

*** please disregard this post-I'm an idiot (but at least I'm a harmless one :) ***

*** Disregard this comment, I'm becoming confused about which version I have running *** I noticed that the CTRL-F key, which worked great in the 1.84 x64 build, does not seem to have any effect in the latest nightly build. *(edit) Although CTRL-F doesn't seem to have any effect, CTRL-SHIFT-F shows ...

Crash and fullscreen problem

Great, that was the fastest response to a bug report that I've ever seen! :) Honestly, I should not have imposed the full screen issue on you, since it appears to be unique to my set up. Thanks for the suggestion -- I updated the Radeon driver to 15.200. Also, I downloaded, installed, and have just ...
