Re: 1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
FPS hovering around 99 all the time. Flickered about when I pressed c, 90 was the lowest I saw, 103 was the highest, most of the time it was a steady 99, though. Rich.

Re: 1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
One thing with this (spaceship) crash is that the screen didn't go white. That's normal for high-speed collisions. I've fixed a couple of cases in the code so next version should deal better with death on autopilot. That just leaves fixing the case where the autopilot crashes you into the station. ...

Re: Empty cargo pods
Hi. I had a similar problem (probably the same) but it was never resolved. It goes back as far as 1.75.2 (or even earlier). I tried to help narrow it down in terms of OXPs and with 1.76 it was between oolite itself and the OXPs random hits, galactic navy, ups-courier, possibly behemoth, there were a...

Re: 1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
No, hitting f8 didn't cause the autopilot to fail. I recall there used to be a bug somewhere, it didn't like docking while the f8 screen was up but it didn't manifest by crashing the ship. Rich.

Re: 1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
Failing to dock manually did not reproduce the problem. There was a copper around at the time. One thing with this (spaceship) crash is that the screen didn't go white. With the other ones I remember it all going white before fading to the game over press space screen. I suppose that means it must b...

Re: 1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
Thanks for looking. It's nothing to do with the f8 screen, that's the thing I remember encountering before. It's the docking computers crashing into the space station. Just happened again. Press f2 to load instead of just starting the autosave and hey presto, flying through space in a random directi...

1.77, problem docking, dying, reloading, crashing . . .
Bit weird but I'll try to describe. I can't immediately see anything related in the board so here goes. I launched from one planet, jumped to the next, all okay. Pressed c in the safe zone, all okay. Wanted to check prices so pressed 8 or f8. Fine. Go back to the screen, whoops, station right in fro...

Re: Maintenance Overhaul
Thanks. Thinking academically about it, how does it work? Random stuff in hyperspace bouncing off the hull? Rich.

Re: Maintenance Overhaul
Hi. I have a feeling I'll get shot here. How does this work again? To explain the question, I just started a new commander in 1.77. I have done nothing except jump from Lave to start trading between Qutiri and Isinor. I have not engaged in combat at all, J-drive out of the main line between witch-po...

Re: empty cargo container or no "bang" when ramming it
If it's vanilla bug then surely it should be more widely reported, no? Not necessarily, if it is super rare. Like maybe all kinds of things have to happen at the same time for the bug to surface. I don't remember experiencing it ever before and I played plenty of hours of Oolite. :) If you use Okti...

Re: empty cargo container or no "bang" when ramming it
No, ore processor will do only stuff with splinters. Never with other cargo. Yes, I thought that was probably the case but it was the "change" to which Thargoid referred that came to mind - if UPS-courier puts out a pod that partly matches what ore processor is expecting. The other bit of...

Re: empty cargo container or no "bang" when ramming it
Hello When this came up before I had 1.75.2 I think with a ton of oxps. Due to a fight with a USB stick I stopped playing for a while. It wiped everything so I don't have a record of exactly what was there. I then started again with 1.76, or was it 1.75.3. Anyway, I added in lots of oxps again but d...

Yes, that's it. Thanks. Rich.Diziet Sma wrote:Try launching without saving first.. that should trigger an autosave.

Automatic save isn't working properly v1.76.1
Hello I just had a quick look but couldn't find anything in the forum already. I have decided to go back to basics for a bit so have a 1.76.1 installation which initially had no oxps in there (other than debugging; it now has longway, blackbaron and spyhunter). I noticed that even though the automat...
