The texture used the Python Commander is a bit boring: I did a quick re-skin.
If you want to do the same just replace oolite.app/Resources/Textures/python_redux with this (keeping the old file name of course)

Expansion download manager no longer works
I'm using the latest version of Oolite on a Windows 7 machine (64 bit) and since this version the expansion packs won't download. I get a message like unknown of unknown instead of the file size of the download. The download doesn't happen at all or fails, leaving this in the log: 02:01:05.939 [oxz....

Can someone tell me where the contents of OXZs added by the manager are stored, since theyre not in the AddOns or Resorces folders? I want to give the Aquatics ships the same re-skin I gave the OXP versions but I can't find 'em!!

What I would love to do would be to add the Imperial Stardestroyer to the forces of the Galactic Navy. I'd so like to see one in battle against a Thargoid Carrier. Is there a way to add ships from other OXPs to Naval forces?

Not always: Quite often the enemy fleet has not yet arrived and if you follow the direction the Navy ships are pointing and floor it you can intercept them quite a distance away, But timing is crucial. To make things easier for your Navy comrades, why not grab a quirium mine before you arrive insystem? As you arrive at the rendezvous, hare off ahead of your forces at full burn towards the enemy fleet making sure that you dump the mine just inside the cloud, and keeping the pedal to the metal, flip...

Having tried many core and OXP ships, my favourites are still the Dragon M (my first Elite commander flies one) and the B-Wing (Star Wars ships OXP). Both are quick, zippy and have plenty of missile slots, and enough cargo space to make a few extra dollars if bounty hunting falls a little short. The...
