Re: I May Regret This...
I fly a tricked out Morrigan. I know at least one person on this board (not me) who stayed with the Cobra Mark III and he is now "ELITE". Can you imagine that? I upgraded to a ship with just a wee bit better specs Than the Cobra when I could afford her, but won't be buying any more ships....

Mine would be the まるオタクストーカー (Stalker Otaku Maru)
Just to give it that little touch of creepyness.

Re: Is the Boa II Clipper Class worth the downgrade?
The spread and depth of knowledge around this board never fails to amaze me. :) Seconded, and what I often wonder is, why do people know these things. What event in life triggers a need or a wish to acquire these odd pieces of information. As for my knowledge of Japanese, the answer is decades of a...

Re: Scale Issues... What this thread again?
The manual doesn't have dimensions, but it does have hull mass and cargo capacity, so I could figure it to an approximate size, but it wouldn't be too accurate, as some of those numbers are just silly.

Re: Is the Boa II Clipper Class worth the downgrade?
Eh, you'd probably want to use the Hiragana まる instead of the Kanji 丸 cause your way would more likely be thought as "Round Kitten" Or "Kitten Pills" * (ADCK's Kitten pills, now with 70% real kitten! Sold separately O_o ) I'd probably go the hiragana こねこ for kitten as well just f...

Scale Issues... What this thread again?
Hehe sorry about the title, it's a little misleading, it's not really what you think it's about. What I'm wondering is, does anyone have some sort of ship size comparison chart thingamajig that compares the original Elite ships with the ships of the Frontier/FFE games, or at least has some statistic...

Re: Railgun.oxp v 1.3 now available
Ah, I always wanted to make a railgun for an NPC ship on one of my OXP's but could never figure out how, well at least it can be done for player ships.

Re: YOUR AD HERE!!! 300 ads (sets A, B, C, D, E, F & G)
We've got one at the local train station in between the railway tracks, it says: WARNING! No Safe Place With nothing else written on it, like no specifics where safety is, the sign leads me to believe no where in the universe is safe :P I wanna steal 'Borrow' that sign and put it in silly places, li...

Bit of a story behind this sign, every day on my way home from work I go to the station to catch the bus, and 50% of the buses going by have this sign on them, and I think to myself; "I've just been SNIS'd" "Sorry, Not In Service" http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c72/ADCK/snis.p...

Re: Weird nugget of info about the Thargoids...
Well, I'm sure there's some handwavium out there to explain it away, maybe its something like what happened in Star Trek to the Klingons, in the original series they looked mostly human, but in TNG they looked a lot different. I think the writers explained it away as some sort of disease.
