Re: I packaged the game as a flatpak
I get exactly the same issues on a second machine running LinuxMint 22.1. The first was 21.3. I get the same result with LinuxMint 20.3. Flatpak is part of Mint's default package management system so if it is broken it would be by the developers of Mint. I've got other flatpaks installed and they s...
Re: Aurora
I'm lucky enough to live where there is very little of that.
I really hoped some of our friends here had at least caught a glimpse. I have only seen the intensity and colors like that once or twice before, but I do see it reasonably often.
Aurora
Any one else catch this last night? I got some ok pictures but my friend that lives a little farther north sent me this picture.

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)
I said a moon far from the main station which would of course mean away from the space lane and your critique is thus valid. I should have suggested the main planet (of another system) when wishing to avoid the main station. I still think it would be a good risk to help balance rewards, jumping to ...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)
Considering that option, we then might wish to remove the requirement for docking computers for example Wouldn't this be a good risk factor to help balance any rewards the player might reap? In my experience the traffic on such routes is not as congested as the main lane so I think the risk may not...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (maybe)
I don't really think planetfall needs to do anything other than allow the player to land on planets. Planets offer a great alternative to the main station for OXP authors that want to create content that would not make sense on a police station but are not capable of creating models for their own st...

Re: Secondary Market Definitions Defined
I noticed a post on Roolite saying that it didn't work. Well, that's news to me. Now there are problems, the dock looks like hell, but it does work and is unlikely to be fixed until I create a new model. The script that controls Witchfire Whiskey does work as intended, I just downloaded the officia...

Re: Secondary Market Definitions Defined
they all need markets that don't cause "unique profit opportunities" where 2 nearby stations are 20+ credits apart in prices for the same trade goods. That may what you would want but others may like those unique profit opportunities so it is not obvious to me that those markets are broke...

Re: Secondary Market Definitions Defined
Wildeblood, it is good to see you back. A few thoughts about this. 1.82 was a disaster that should have been strangled at birth. Brought to you by the same devs that claimed an anti-clockwise gal-drive was too hard, and more than 8 charts was too hard. Also the same devs that managed to distribute n...

Re: OXP maintenance
My questions should then read: So what do we do with unsupported expansions? Seems like this would include a majority of them. I would say leave them alone unless there is a real issue. By the time an OXZ is available to everyone, it should have passed a couple tests beyond whether it works by itse...

Re: OXP maintenance
As a good example, take Seems like most expansions follow this standard reasonably well, I can't think of any that use hashes or anything so cryptic. I see no problems with something like that, but how do you achieve this on git? Every version of Oolite-trunk I've ever used was hashed this way. Whe...

Re: OXP maintenance
I think this was a feature of the previous OXP admin page, where, once you had filled in all the text entry fields and saved the form, it would give you the exact content of the manifest file at the bottom of the page, including things like upload_date and download_url. We don't have this any more ...

Re: OXP maintenance
From your list of OXPs that need "maintenance": Unknown key 'upload_date' at https://wiki.alioth.net/img_auth.php/c/c8/Stormbrewer_2.9.oxz!manifest.plist From the manifest.plist in the last version of this that I built: "upload_date" = "2016-01-23 01:59:46"; What is the...
