Re: No sound - v1.90 linux x64 deb package
I installed a fresh instance of Kubuntu 23.10 in a VM, installed Oolite 1.90, and can confirm there was no sound. After some searching, I found this article: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1284262/default-audio-device-typically-built-in-analog-does-not-show-in-kubuntu-20-10 Instructions are basical...

Daddyhoggy is insteresting in finding out more and popping back into the forum, but he registered here with an email address that lapsed a few years ago. Do we have any administrative staff that could help him change his email address to a new one? I can provide contact details if necessary. PM me ...

Re: oolite.space on web.archive.org
The thing is, we went forward with fixes to other things. If we go back, we will have to redo all that work. Not impossible, mind - just a lot of work. Might it not be better to work out why the internet archive is having problems with the design as it exists now? Surely we can't be the first websit...

You need to use the keyboard - hold down the arrow down when you get to 2 seconds to go until you jump.

Re: UPDATED OXPS: Lave 1.70 & transports 2.45(new)
That massive gap between the planetary societies and the spacefaring community. I think most worlds are probably unaware that there is a functional space society miling about above their heads. How to you see the issue of the TL of the station being linked to the planet? With a (say) TL2 Av.Ag. wor...

Re: Hull damage
Jane's Galactic Shipset caused the last bug. I have to say, I'm surprised. Jane's Galactic Shipset doesn't do anything with equipment except for the following: 1. On startup, if you have the cargo bay expansion installed, it reduces your ship's max speed. 2. If you install the cargo bay, it reduces...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
I'm prepping to add this to the DM. However, I'd value some input on the best approach to take. At the moment, I've kept the identifier from the original Planetfall ("oolite.oxp.Thargoid.Planetfall"), so the new version is a straight upgrade to the old one. However, I've made some radical ...

Draven 2.0
In honour of Commander IronFist, I've taken the upgrade stick to his (very) old OXP and this is the result: Draven 2.0! Let's start with the screenies, because who doesn't love a screenshot or two: https://i.postimg.cc/tTX2hNfL/draven-stations.png The station upgrade went pretty well. https://i.post...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
Looks like some issues. I've found and fixed one (invalid lookup key), but I think the Computer Delivery mission is missing a key step of actually giving the player the computers. Still researching/testing. Thanks for the report, though!

Re: Autopilot for Oolite
I referenced the first of four pages. On the third this guy discusses taking screenshots and interpreting those. That is necessary to reliably navigate to the planet/station. And may be reused elsewhere. The trouble is, this method is completely dependent on a number of factors: (1) The screen size...

Re: Autopilot for Oolite
Would that be a base for an OXP or be more suitable for an external tool as it is now? You could OXP the entire thing, if you wanted, without needing to use an external tool. If fact, you could do it better, because you could interrogate the game state in a far more exhaustive and accurate way. Plu...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
Small thing I noticed in the names file is that at lines 1003 to 1005, there is a missing pair of brackets round the 9 array so not all types get the type of base bracketed off. Thanks for that. If you want to patch your version prior to an official release, the lines you quote should look like thi...

Re: Issue with moving exhausts
I understand the z-ordering issue - that's tricky to fix. But I'm not 100% sure this issue is an example of that. The starting point for the exhausts appears to be changing (at least in the current view), which would mean the quaternion position is somehow changing, or isn't being translated correct...

Re: Issue with moving exhausts
I am using the Imperial Courier and do not see issues there as well. I'm guessing, because I haven't looked yet, but if the the Imperial Courier puts the starting point of the exhaust far enough into the nacelle, you won't see the effect. It would only be really evident if the exhaust start point i...
