A little problem. The advanced space compass has the "g" symbol but the name shown is that of the main station. I'm not sure weather this is just on my set-up or if it is more widespread? Any idea why this happens. P.S. the problem shows up in "Oolite 1.80" and "Oolite 1.81&...

I think that I have fixed the problems that you pointed out plus a couple more.
Updated the download.
All that I can do now is wait and see if any body tests it

Yes I was thinking along those lines with a twist, the more equipment fitted the more chance of something breaking.
So the new commander would have little or no chance of having a cracked screen.
An Elite commander on the other hand may well end up with a cracked screen in the midst of battle!

Flippant, I did not take it that way at all.
Perhaps set it up to use as an option
OFF by default, ON to make it interesting.

In the game I like to use a moon or other body to hide behind just outside of mass lock range, a quick jump and I am causing trouble. :twisted: That is why I want a mass lock indicator / lamp I takes the guessing out of when to jump. I just started using Zy&K_Escort_Contracts_1.5.9.oxp. A couple of small points could you change the scanner_display colour to green (indicating something NOT to shoot) and change the beacon from "M" to "E" ("M" being Main station, "E" being escorted ship)....
