Wow!!!
Okay, I've seriously got to look into this. This fits into my grand scheme of things. Edit: This thing has a gear shift. I wonder what happens if you go into fifth gear. Will the GalCops pull you over for exceeding the relativistic speed limit? "Do you know why I pulled you over?"...

Does Anyone Know What This Is?
Hi all,
I found this image by accident and it's probably fake but I like the idea.

Tried the Administration
I've tried administrator permissions as well. I'm agreeing that it is probably a Vista thing. I've found websites where people have had problems getting XP and Vista to play well together. The solution supposedly is to install something on top of SP3. Unfortunately SP3 won't install and many people ...

Read/Write Data
It's a general question. I've looked around but haven't found anything beyond logging. Is it possible through Javascript in Oolite to read and/or write data during game play? By this I mean that while flying through space if a button were pushed a snapshot of text and maybe a picture could be writt...

What I know so far
Hi A.C. First off, thank you for taking your time to help with this. I'm sure there are more important things like taking out the garbage. :) Are there any subnet masks defined on any of the two computers? If yes, are they the same? They are both 255.255.255.0 Can one computer ping the other? Oh yes...

A Status Update
Hi all, It's been at least a week or so since I last tackled this. Work has been stressful. I like my job it's just sometimes it can wear me out. So I only started back on this today. Anyway, I'm able to telnet into the console on the other machine. I still can't connect through Oolite and I haven't...

Fried Spam
I had a wife once who liked to fry Spam and we'd have it for dinner. It's probably why the doctor told me that my blood congealed into Crisco.

No Such Luck
First of all, the Debug.OXP in Oolite connects to the Debug Console, not the other way around. (You -do- have the Debug.OXP in your AddOns folder, right?) Right. Secondly, unless you're trying to connect from outside your LAN you won't need to touch the ports in your router (in fact, this could be ...

Firewall
Hi Commander Cheyd, Neither one does, at least to my best recollection. I use the firewall in the hub itself. I'll check tonight when I get home and make sure because for all I know some Windows Update may have prompted me at some point and I just click on Yes and Next to practically everything. &qu...

I'm probably doing something wrong.
The console works great on the host machine but I am having trouble getting my laptop to connect to the host where I'm playing Oolite. The laptop is running Vista Ultimate and my desktop is still on XP. Maybe it's some kind of security thing but I haven't found it. I've opened up port 8653 in my hub...

Fantastic!
That's good news (1.73 fix). I didn't know what to look for and I probably should have scanned the Bug reports a little further.
I can wait for the 1.73 build probably since I don't resize things too much. I just wanted to demonstrate and also to play at full screen.

Mine was the PC version.
Hi all, I started with PC Plus I believe. I was running a 386SX with Windows 3.1 at the time although my memory could very well be faulty as it was so long ago. In any case, at the time I never got the hang of docking or maybe just gave up too soon. Also, I think the planets looked like flat color c...

Losing Planets and Moons when Resizing Window
I have no idea which one this is now that I think about it. I have Lave.oxp and System_Redux.oxp's loaded and running under Windows XP with Oolite version 172.2. (It's the latest version, I don't know at the moment what that is.) :( I was testing out the planetary system around Lave and showing it t...
