Well that is seriously awesome!
I've decided! It is definite! I'll polish off the neolite collection, then focus on getting griff-esque designs for the expansion packs.

... that is the new katipo in the game - have not tested the shaders yet (have to move it to my laptop to do that). Tested - the uploaded version needs a wee hack: you have to rename the effects map for the body to match the pattern for the others. I have created a better HUD for it - but I'm still...

Neolite Navy

I have found a version of the Neolite Navy oxp, which seems to be pretty much where I got up to. I have uploaded it as: http://www.hbclinux.net.nz/oolite/neolite-navy.oxp.zip Be warned - this oxp is incomplete and very alpha - but it has all those nice navy ships I've been showing you earlier in the...

I have half a mind not to share this with you: http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/Katipo-ingame.png ... that is the new katipo in the game - have not tested the shaders yet (have to move it to my laptop to do that). Get the beta oxp at: http://www.hbclinux.net.nz/oolite/k...

The navy stuff includes the megaships and will replace the megaships oxp. Most of the craft were done, including the station.

Megaships is not compatible with behemoths. You cannot run them both. There is an oxp in development to totally redo the behemoth/navy set and all new thargxxx ships too. It is supposed to be something of the last oxp in the neolite series. I would advise against combining the megaships with behemot...

The scale of the stations means that those blocks are very building-like indeed. I'll have to go back to the texture to check. I have no idea how to scroll the blue pixels in the shader and no way to test the code. I'll concentrate on extracting the blue from the diffuse map and make some height-map...

Katapo Revisited...

Kapapo Now that I know more about modelling and texturing... http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/katapo.png Its hard to see much of the detail - so here is a bare metal one: http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/katapo-bm.png Since it is smooth, I sha'n't bother with...

The neolite thread just got some stations added in the last few posts. Some of these may help with griffs station musings.

http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/neo-iso2.png ... isoc textures like the coriolis ... I rigged the uv-map so I don't have to have the logo-circle thing around the outside, just front and back. To get this though, I'll need a similarly rustified alien-hull texture without them .....

Isocohedron station textures. http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/neoisoc.png ... remembering that these pics have no normalmap or specular. left: the blue would glow. middle: very coppery, shiny bits raised. right: more of a matt finish, the blue bits ore raised. I think the one on...

Y'know, I was never really happy with the neolite wolf II:

Since I'm also helping Griff where I can, I thought I'd make an effort to be more griff-friendly.

Updates when I can extract the last set of files from my old HDD. In the meantime - I've been speculating about the other stations again: http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt68/Simon_Bridge/neododopng.png ... I think there are too many logos - the idea is to do this in the same coppery/rusty style ...
