Re: Elite Encounters: The Elite Dangerous RPG
I will have no chance of getting this played, but I have made a modest pledge. I have also popsted adverts on the comments pages of the E: D KS, and the one of the books that is still running - let's see if any of them suck folks in.

Re: Elite: Dangerous - Who's on the Design Decision Forum?
Shouldn't that be Oolite:DangerOos? Cheers, Drew. When I was young (many, many years ago) my father had me convinced for a while that there was an animal that you might pronounce Dangeroos. We had just seen the kangaroos at whipsnade zoo, and another enclosure had a sign up saying "Thes...

Re: Flight Log OXP
Can you put a total (and an average per system) on the page? Individual credit changes by system are fairly useless, since they vary depending on what you bought and sold. So it could report a loss at a system when there was a virtual profit. But a 10 system total and average would shoe the trend.

Re: Where are my pictures?
Thanks. You might like to update the Wiki FAQ on diagnosing problems to state where the log files really are !
Edit: I have now uninstalled and reinstalled (and upgraded to 1.77) into a directory not under Program Files. Everything looking good. Thanks for your help.

Re: Where are my pictures?
Ah, yes, well. I copied from the Oolite directory under Program Files to a new directory under C:\. Ran the Oolite.exe, and it all started up fine. Except there were no saved commanders. The original under Program Files still works, and has the saved commanders ... So, anyone know where/how to find ...

Re: Where are my pictures?
I know zilch about Vista, but in somewhere like Explorer/Tools/Folder options/View there should be a show/don't show hidden files option... that may help. Oolite installed in C:\Program Files is often problematical, yes. Yeah the show hidden files is set to show them, and always has been. But it is...

Where are my pictures?
I cannot find pictures taken from Oolite. Windows Vista Home Premium. Oolite is installed in a directory under C:\Program Files (I suspect this may be an issue). I can find the oolite-saves directory : It appears to be empty, but who knows with windows playing tricks about what it shows you. There i...

Re: Finding Supernovas
FWIW, I just got a fuel leak on my very first jump after getting the galactic hyperdrive, which I bought at the first station I hit that sold them in G4. I guess my passenger is not going to be too chuffed: not only will I not quite deliver him on time, but he will be in the wrong bit of the galaxy,...

Re: Transferring kit to another ship
The Cobby 3 is a fine ship, by the way, and unless you are planning on a carreer in bulk-haulage it is hard to beat. I thought I might try a Boa Cruiser for a while, so, yes, bulk haulage was in my mind. After I tire of that, then the next jump may well be to a Fer-de-lance and a career looking for...

Re: Transferring kit to another ship
I'm afraid not. You have to sell your ship 'as is' including all equipment, and then re-fit a new ship to your taste. The one exception to this is a very special bit of kit awarded by a core-game mission in one of the later galaxies - sorry, no spoilers here  I had a nasty feeling that you we...

Transferring kit to another ship
If you have some very nice kit on your current ship (a Naval energy unit, for example), are you able to transfer it to a new ship when you buy one?
If not, can you sell off very nice kit on your current ship before you trade it in?

I though that might be the case.
