Is this Ubuntu 8.04? It's the first Ubuntu release with Pulseaudio, and depending on what version of SDL you're using, it might not support Pulseaudio yet. Try 'pasuspender oolite' to see if it helps. Yep, 8.04 it is. I'll give that a try this evening, and see if it fixes it. Thanks a lot! hircus +...
