A couple of minutes ago I was frying a boa with a military laser, and I saw it's shields go down, and it started spewing cargo all over the place. Is this because the pilot wanted me to leave it alone or were the ship's systems damaged? How can I do this again?

I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find a feature that lets you change the position of your lasers, but I got around this by editing the save file... If there IS a feature that lets you do this, let me know

First, I bought an expensive military laser, than a mining laser to see what mining's like, and now I want the military laser back in front, but it's not on any slot All I see is "Military Laser" in the status screen... How do I switch back to my military laser?
