Feeling unwelcome...

I learned tonight what happens when you decide to be a little risky and trade in the more shadowy items like slaves and firearms...

No one likes to let you dock easily and the cops fire at you as you're trying to line up to the station manually.

How the heck's a guy supposed to make a decent wage :)

Hi, Commander, and welcome - I'm a noobie here as well (about a week), but have been playing the game since it's Elite days. Just goes to show how good a game it is that will keep you interested for a long time.

I haven't seen Right On, Commander yet :(

Durn keys

Is there a way to map the D and ESC keys so that I'm not hitting them wrong and dumping cargo when I mean do dock with not sequence, or rushing off in my escape pod when I overshoot the F1 key to return to forward view?

tank you.

I decided that going to strict play was like removing the furnishing and insulation from my house to 'reconnect to colonial living'. No thank you. One thing after playing the game for a few hours this past weekend.....I am a service rep and spend a lot of time driving. After just a few hours on I-95...

Nope, not a spammer Cmdr Maegil. I have already noted some of the differences from what I remember on the old Elite...and some of the same (Trumbles - yeah, I got fooled....ONCE). My wife was laughing as she remembers how many nights she lost me to the game. I have looked at the Wiki and am thinking ...

Greetings

Just joined up and thought I'd say Hi. I started playing Elite on the C=64 back about 20 years ago after a BBS buddy let me borrow a copy of his disk. I'm not much of a game player, but this game - for some reason - has always had an attraction for me. I tried downloading a hacked version several ye...
