So I found this "unusual cargo pod"...
...which turned out to be a cloaking device. But how do I use it? Can I turn it on and off, or am I always cloaked?

It's been a while since I completed the Constrictor mission, but I haven't been offered any new ones. Are there more missions that go with the basic game? If so, what should I do to find them?

A couple of times, after destroying a ship, I've attempted to scoop up the wreckage, only to find that it was moving faster than I was.
