For the sake of the example I spawned a new Jameson ("the Marauder"), bought 3 tonnes of booze and 4 tonnes of food, and set the controls for Leesti. (Using ver. 1.70 on OS X with "all" OXP's installed). On the way there, I forced a misjump into witch-space. Plenty of navy ships ...

I see this behaviour very consistently when I am shooting at a target from the RandomHits.oxp. I normally have between 50 and 100 fps, but the moment I fire my laser at the target the framerates drop below 10 if I stop shooting the framerates often often increase to normal (until I start shooting ag...

Attack of the Cargo Cannister

I have just had a very strange experience: In an Anarchy rated system (Rebees of Gal 3) I was approaching a rock hermit who released a hostile craft attacking me. After finishing the rock hermit (receiving a 100 cr. bonus) I realised I had been attacked by a cargo cannister (status: Offender)???? De...

Oh, but I have the Thargon Threat installed. Maybe I should increase the copy number? ;) Still, I have noticed that your Galactic Navy OXP has made the witchspace battles bloodier (more participants). Much appreciated! Thanks. The increased number of Aliens is beginning to make trips to witchspace p...

The ongoing war against T

I am currently very keen on improving my kill-rating and often misjump to get to destroy aliens in witchspace. Even with the cool new Galactic Navy OXP it seems to be completely safe to do so (although it does appear that the battles have gotten more participants with this OXP). In other words: If y...

Long range docking computers?

Hello all! Is there any specific reason that the docking computers can only be activated (for docking with space stations) when you are within the "S" zone? As far as I remember from back in the days of Elite for BBC I could at any time press C and have the docking computers function as an...

Weird moments

Yesterday I was wondering if I should start a thread about your weirdest moments in the Ooniverse; I was docking at a Collective ZGF when the station spontaneously exploded. But I never got round to it. Today a moment suitable for the Pulp Fiction category (as well as weirdest moment): A Merlin was ...

Turned out to be another explanation:

The shipyard.plist had somehow become corrupted.

A replacement got me my life savings back :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

Trying to locate a high tech world nearby.

Havent really been suggested to give it a maintenance overhaul, though.

I want my Firefly back!

I recently reached a million Credits which I spent on a brand new Lampyris. Now I am getting tired of this somewhat big & clumsy ship, so I want to trade it for something else. But pressing F3 I am offered a trade-in value of only 36000 Cr (seems to be generally consistent from planet to planet)...
