Re: Aquatics OXP

Well, I downloaded your oxp and I like it, Nice work! I am having a little problem though After finishing the Kraken Mission and getting that lovely easter egg of a defence system (or defense) whatever you may prefer, my poor drones got destroyed when i had to inject my ass out of there during a hea...

Re: Shaders and stuff oh my

greyth, you were right about the equipment double thing. I have found that the squiqqles have nothing to do with oolite and something to do with opengl or mesa as i was able to get the same effect in chromium by asking it on the command line to ignore it's gpu blacklist and when i play a video via h...

I take back what I said about the pacman package manager, I didn't understand that it separates local packages from packages online, guess that what i get for being a former debian user.

Re: Shaders and stuff oh my

Well, I got curious and tried something... Instead of using what is supplied by the arch repositories as recommended by the oolite site for arch users, i went ahead and downloaded the build from the web page and the results are again interesting. results are 1) the warning about Gnustep and multithr...

Re: Shaders and stuff oh my

Right, ok a couple of notes before I drive batty by posting yet another set of images. The All white texture issues only happens it seems with the Nav Buoy and sometimes on startup with the Cobra mk iii (Default) image. (this after lots and lots of testing and sweating) There are no errors listed af...

Re: Shaders and stuff oh my

But wait there's more, I got curious, I got a itching to try out Xdmx (multiheaded distributed desktop) as well as seeing full shaders so i went ahead and took the plunge and installed arch linux (that was fun!) oh yeah.......and after installing a minimal desktop (twm) i installed oolite) via pacma...

on Rotating cargo....OOlite crashes sometimes

Well i thought it was me playing around with full shaders... but no after switching to simple shaders... the problem sticks and nothing is in Latest.log after modifying logcontrol.plist and telling it to report everything...... I am using Linux mint Debian 11. I have observed this with one of the De...

Re: Wacky Keyboard Codes in keyconfig.plist...... AARRRRRGGG

ll ASCII codes, plus a handful of special codes for things like PGUP/PGDN/HOME/... those are defined at the top of MyOpenGLView.h, as you've already found in your very first posting. WRONG, HERE IS the start of MYOPENGLVIEW.h - direct from the source code....(minus opening comments and copyright) #i...

Re: Wacky Keyboard Codes in keyconfig.plist...... AARRRRRGGG

Or maybe keycodetrans is not what i am looking for.

Oh well, I never said i actually knew Objective C. The only coding i have done in life beyond 30 lines or so has been in a billion flavors of basic (mostly retro) and Assembly (6510, 80386 and some Pentium instructions) .

Oh well..

Re: Wacky Keyboard Codes in keyconfig.plist...... AARRRRRGGG

I'm really failing to understand what you're trying to achieve though.. Yeah, I have almost lost sight of it, myself I went from simply editing a file to configure keys to reading source code to achieve the same means. My objectives are 1) is to simply figure out which keys I can use in oolite (with...

Re: Wacky Keyboard Codes in keyconfig.plist...... AARRRRRGGG

Ah, sorry I should have explained in greater detail. So, I am looking for the table that represents the keys array. I tried using the grep (pattern matching) command in linux at the beginning of the file tree (./oolite-source-1.xx) and tried grep -r "keys" - Which returned nothing. thats s...

Re: Wacky Keyboard Codes in keyconfig.plist...... AARRRRRGGG

Now, I am no Objective-C coder, but from what little coding I have done (in Python) no less,, and the books i have read about c, I think this points to the magic I am looking for.. case SDLK_HASH: if (!shift) keys[126] = YES; break; // ~ (really #) case SDLK_BACKQUOTE: if (!shift) keys[96] = YES; br...
