Re: help with trident down

Yeah, I found the escape capsule. It was a bit difficult to catch it before the quirium mines did, but eventually I managed it.

Re: help with trident down

Hmm. What am I supposed to discover during the misjump? I don't know about others, but I ran into a huge Thargoid fleet, including a gigantic carrier worth 2000+ credits. I think I polished them all off, at the cost of three quirium mines and a whole lot of damaged equipment, but upon return to the ...

I don't take any hits when the shields are down. (That is, when I do get hit with my pants... I mean, shields, down, I usually die and reload.)

Ship's trade-in value

I can't help but wonder - what influences a ship's trade-in value? I am rather surprised that a new, but unequipped, SuperCobra, costs 60% more than my old, fully equipped one. On a related note, is there any point of buying the maintenance package? I bought one a few days ago, and considering it co...

Re: Nova, Deposed and Trident missions.

I will. I managed to crack the language already, but it is pain in the ass to transcribe manually. Is there a favorite ROT-13 implementation on these forum or does everyone use a different one?

Re: Nova, Deposed and Trident missions.

I may be stuck at the same place as the OP: I am playing Deposed and right at the moment I am supposed to destroy the pirates in the vicinity of Edorqu, then return to Esarqure when finished. The trouble is, I can't seem to find the right pirates - I have blasted a number of them to dust, including ...

1.4.2 here.

I increased the Z coordinate from 16.25 to 21.75 and it works OK.

Re: SuperCobra doesn't work in Oolite 1.76.1?

Cool - it works! I increased the Z coordinate a lot and got a good view! I'll now keep halving the interval until I find out the exact value. Thanks a lot!

SuperCobra doesn't work in Oolite 1.76.1?

Hi! After a long, long time without Oolite, I decided to return to it. I upgraded to the latest version (1.76.1) from my old 1.73, upgraded all OXPs which were reported by the engine as incompatible or gave me exceptions in the log file, and now only one tiny detail remains unsolved: I can't fly my ...

Might be a good idea for future versions to separate the directories in such a way that I don't need to give write access to directories with executable files and libraries.

Why do you have to set permissions to Oolite?
Security. It is not safe to allow write access to executable files, for example.

Re: ...

If you have the Realistic Shipyards in, you can remove a list of your other oxps, which are already included. I actually left them in on purpose - so that I can remove the Realistic Shipyards if I need to. However, textures for all the ships in visual range will be used every frame (currently even ...

If you really want to keep the shipyards OXP in, you don't need the ship OXPs as well. But if your system can't cope with such a big OXP, ditch RS and cherrypick the ship OXPs you really want to see. To be honest, I am surprised my system can't handle it. Sure, it's a lot of OXPs, but still, I woul...

Getting rid of Realistic Shipyards did it for me.... it's a big ol' unit that one. You might be better off just installing the few extra ships you like.
I couldn't care less about the extra ships, but I liked the balance enhancements of the OXP.
