I use index on "e", middle on "w" and "s", and ring on "a". That way I can adjust my speed as well.

Or what if the homing beacon could be attatched to whatever object you wanted to follow? It would fire in a straight line, so you'd have to either be pretty close or have great aim, but maybe it could be attached to a "string" so it could be retracted if the shot missed at a slow speed slo...
