nope, they do rotate, albeit slowly... Even though you could reposition the structure using javascript & a timer in the oxp, I don't think there's a way of getting the rotation speed & planetary axis position from within javascript... What about having floating cities inside the atmosphere?...

Just a humble remark, although it will cause a lot of extra trouble for the positioning of buildings: Have you considered that planets usually are rotating? This means positioning a ground structure at a fixed point on a planet will not give any realistic impression at all, even if it has the corre...

Zaonce is also the system that has the dozens of Eagle gathered around the witchpoint (if you have the appropriate OXP installed). Hey, that's Me!! And the Eagle Mk2 OXP! And if you rename a plist file in the scripts folder of the original Imperial Courier OXP you get a bunch of them. And if you re...

Re: javascript problem

The missions don't work (You shouldn't think everybody who reports a bug is a stupid!), I finally tried 1.71.1 and it works. so its a bug not a trumble! there is some javascript problem because it seems non of the scripts are working (like the one in System_redux). my config is Linux version 2.6.17...

Very cool building..... love the idea of adding dockable cities to the already existing planets. They would make great targets for raiding  and some should be well defended by plasma cannons and/or missiles. And fighters of course  Has anyone already thought about how to put the buil...

I gave up the Cone shaped Building, since i felt, it was to much texture and model, and less functional... also it had a to large texture file IMO 1024 by 1024... and it had about 960 polies.... So i created this instead with a 512 by 512 texture, and about 512 polies... I Call it An Agricultural Fa...

they do. But not as spectacular as I would have hoped. :? I was thinking more in a Q-mine kinda way... with bonus fuel pods to be scooped afterwards! In my mind, they should not need escorts, and because they have (literally) fuel to burn... they should run on the sunskimmers route, from star to WP...

Re: Laser display problem in 1.7.2

Thanks for constantly improving a great game. I hope this bug report helps: I've just installed 1.7.2 on iMac G4 1.5Ghz. During dogfights I notice that impact flashes (when I'm shooting at things) don't always display properly, so it's hard to tell if I'm hitting the target. I can't work out the co...

It's a good book and there are some great stories of how a few British boffins did some incredible work with a limited budget and no official support. Typical for this country, really. :( yeah kind a sad USA nicks most of your inventions, or put economic pressure to make you drop your inventions......
