Hmm, perhaps. What I was after, was the idea of hunting for a vector, pointing yourself at it, and then hitting the J kay to go straight at it. More of a 'work out the vectors and fly at it' sort of thing? Maybe I wasted that one.... I'd like to think that Elite/Oolite captains would be receptive to...

Yes, the easiest way to determine where a viewpoint/exhaust point/weapon point, should go, is to load the model in Wings, and either find (or, if necessary place) a vertex at your desired location. the coords for your weapon/view/exhast, etc, are those of the vertex, as show top left of screen.

Thanks for clarifying that. I have a large carrier that rolls as it flies. I suppose that makes it a flying space station. It is already defined as a carrier - and it wil roll, when asked to - but when asked to roll at a specific speed , this is ignored. I am assuming they both inhertit from the sam...

Transparency in textures.

When last I tried it, transparency of any kind (much less alpha transparency) didn't seem to be supported by Oolite's rendering? Is this still so, and would it be a huge task, to fix?

As always, let me know if you need any ellucidation.
