Oolite Bulletins

I've progressed further in 1 week of playing Oolite than I did in about a year of play on the ZX! Therefore, It's breaking new ground for me. At present, all I'm doing is travelling around G1 trading and fighting off the bad guys - sort of blissfilly aimless I suppose! However, I have just discovere...

I shall seriously consider changing my log-on name to CRETIN then!

The last time I played Elite was about 25 years ago on my trusty ZX Spectrum. It used to take 20-25 minutes for the game to load, which was done from a portable casstte player! The anticipation of waiting for the game to load was brilliant in itself - and I prayed that the tape didn't get chewed up!...

I am connected here from my work PC (on which I am 'mostly harmless').
It is the home PC that has my better standing.

I have downloaded Longway (hint I found on another thread) but haven't a clue what to do with the zipped files - do I extract them somewhere?

I've only just found Oolite. Enjoyed playing Elite 25 years ago or so, but that was on my ZX Spectrum, so things have improved a bit! Been playing a week or so, I have 150+ kills, clean status, 15,000Cr and about everything you can fit onto a Cobra MkIII. I have read about missions (Biarge & Ler...
