Well, I think the anarchy doesn't have government, so no cops, but Feudalism should definitively have some, as should Communism etc. It's funny though. Sometimes in Feudalism or Anarchy I meet bunches of pirates, but sometimes none at all, while in Corp states sometimes there are also bunches of pir...

Andy, I did just about the same as you did. At some point, I upgraded my Python to a Boa (smaller, faster, stronger, carries a bit more). Simply great ship. From some datasheet I've seen, I wouldn't buy a Boa class cruiser, though, as it seems quite big (i.e. very easy target). The Boa is great as i...

I don't see a problem with the lags. After all, you can very well play UT2004, or Quake online, which are very fast-paced games. Ok, a problem might be location, like US vs EU, so maybe there'd have to be a EU server and a US server, with no connection (which would again be a bit sad). And when play...

I once played Oolite for a bit maybe 1-2 years ago, and also started playing again. I didn't play too much back then, so I can't say if it got harder. I don't use any OXPs, so I can't answer that question, and I also don't have a joystick, so I (have to) use the keyboard (which is sometimes a bit ha...

Ouch, that sounds like an awful awful AWFUL piece of software, that doesn't bother to actually authenticate users. PHP has always seemed like a really crappy language to me, but if users write totally insecure applications in it, that's even worse. Never expose any part of a web app without authenti...

Thanks, but I just found the next hint. Wasn't too far off. Now the question is if I should save to buy some military shields first...

Well, but the game didn't say where the Constrictor went, only that it jumped. In Oolite a galactical jump transports you to a location in the same area as in the galaxy you were in before, so I'm very close to where Arexe is in G1. I'll fly a circle around the planet I arrived at, to see if anybody...

Hunting the Constrictor

Hi, I flew through a crowded system (and it wasn't even an anarchy) and got some extra kills, so finally I got the Constrictor Mission (and sold my Boa for a Fer-de-Lance for the fighting; having less targetable surface is goood). Well, at the original site they directed me to Arexe, and there they ...

Ceesxe, it's the Hong Kong of Galaxy One.

Otherwise, I prefer places without dreadful civil war. Christmas will be at home, and next vacation not before next summer (probably somewhere close in Europe, France?).

Well, if one knows C or C++, ObjC is a piece of cake, really nothing difficult about it (just so that nobody here is afraid for the wrong reasons). For Java programmers things are a bit different, due to manual memory management. It depends if anything needs to be done (bugfixing). If there's just s...
