I know it's not really Oolite, but most of us here probably have an interest in Babylon 5 (well, it's certainly the right genre).
Jeff Conaway, who played Security Chief Zach Allan in the series, passed away on the 27th from complications from pneumonia.
RIP, Jeff.

And for those with wives of "a certain age" he also played one of the T-birds in the original Grease movie.
RIP

Yeah, Danny Zuko. He apparently permanently damaged his back whilst filming that, which allegedly directly led to his drug addictions (started on painkillers).
He also played Bobby in "Taxi".
And he was in that travesty of television "Celebrity Rehab".

More sad news.
It's distressing how many of the B5 cast are no longer with us.
Richard Biggs (Dr Franklin) and Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) to my knowledge have also passed on in recent years.

Since I first browsed to YouTube I've become
extremely skeptical to the word "ever" in all-caps and with an exclamation mark in combination with a superlative. Just saying.

I saw the title and wondered why the name seemed familiar... Babylon 5!!! 'Tis a shame... Too many of them have died too soon.
Regarding the other two Smivs mentioned:
Andreas Katsulas and
Richard Biggs. Sad, but brings back so many good memories...

A shame! Jeff played that character well on what was a favorite series of mine. Also Walter Koenig as the nefarious Alfred Bester.

Pneumonia is kind of a "catch all" medically speaking. Pneumonia is to medicine as the statement "My car won't go" is to mechanics. It's the start of an investigation not an end. Lung problems like this can be caused by lots of things, and the chances of getting pneumonia increases with the more things your fighting off.
Pneumonia is the sizable crowbar that breaks the camels back. Normally you wouldn't get it, your immune system would fight it off. If it's busy fighting off other stuff, old or worn down then it can nail you.

I've had pneumonia twice - the first time - I got a type that is very common for Asthmatics to get. I had a vaccine against it - so was very surprised to get pneumonia a second time - even protested that it was a misdiagnosis since I'd had the vaccine - the GP laughed "if only there was one injection to prevent ALL types of pneumonia...". My second pneumonia was caused by the harmless cold bug, which turned nasty when I got a cracked rib and a bruised lung during a bout of Taekwondo sparring, I didn't cough for a week because it hurt too much and the cold bug took its chance and went potty...
As CA says, its a catch-all and that's why lots of people seem to die of "it".
