Miss jumps following an NPC's wormhole

Hi,
Before 1.75 miss jumps following a NPC's wormhole was not possible. On IRC channel today we had a discussion about that fact.
For the developers, can there be an intentional miss jump by a combination of keys which I won't mention when going through a NPC wormhole. That may add some interesting possibilities to the core game like traveling across great rift.
As an example, one way to get to Artiseco from Tiadred is to have a miss jump and if you can top the fuel you are there. But if you followed a wormhole and made an intentional miss jump intentionally you may get across.
That is all possible by an OXP. But how do you feel about that implemented in the core game?

You can do it already. Ever tried to enter a wormhole with full pitch?

I am using Keyboard so what is full pitch?

What do you do to intentionally misjump? Go upwards (= pitch) in the last second.

It does not work for me, any idea?

That is not the case for the normal jumps. But following a wormhole of another NPC ship.

I just tried it with the wormhole of an NPC and it worked first time. You just need to time it so that the moment you enter you are going full pitch up.

That does indeed work. Is that a recent thing, as I've tried several times before without success?

Not too recent. Since NPCs can misjump, whenever that was. 1.74 or 1.75.

It was one of the first things I tried when I realised that you could follow an npc wormhole, which was nearly two years ago.
I've had many goes at it since then, but not since 1.75 appeared... I've now crossed the Great Rift without the aid of an OXP... cool.

Saved a lot of gaming time for you

Yeah... unfortunately, this method leaves one with a 'moral' dilemma... fiendish.

What dilemma would that be?
Save the NPC ship that inadvertently helped you cross the Great Rift...or leave it to die by the Thargoids?
(At least an Anaconda and its 6 Cobra 1 escorts should have a chance...)

More than that... it's can I justify endangering innocent traders in order to get somewhere? I may not be able to save them all from the Thargoids.
