Please put OXPs in wiki

Hi all,
Just a gentle reminder to OXP authors who haven't, to add your OXPs to the
OXP List
If you need a wiki account, please message
Winston.
I'm constantly amazed at the the number and quality of OXPs released. I would imagine that I'm not alone in checking the front page of the Expansions Pack forum only from time to time - by which time many OXPs will have disappeared to older pages.
The wiki provides a convenient way to see all the OXPs that are new or updated since the last time I looked (sort by date) and provides a way for authors' OXPs to be accessible to more people.
Cheers,
Mike

Good advice mcarans... I think that
Selezen and
Ahruman can also dispense Wiki accounts.

Thy eminence,
now that you are back with us, I'm eager to hear if you have any ideas about our wiki.
I first got involved with the wiki to sort out the confusion over
searching the Tionisla pages - and then
got engrossed.
But I'm not a wiki expert, and just do whatever seems to make some sort of sense to me. And I'm no expert in the
Dark Side (so have only added tid-bits to those pages) or in ship.oxps (ditto). Nor do I have any overall vision as to what could be done.
Murgh (= Old Murgh) came back for a year and helped massively, as have several others. But the programming pages seem to me to be a mess (I
don't understand them.
When you consider that one of Aegidian's purposes in creating Oolite was to teach people how to programme (and that his relevant threads were lost in the Great Deletion), it seems a crying shame.). Finding useful material on Griff's many oxps is a fruitless exercise (best done on this Bulletin Board, heaven help us!).
It would be super to have your feedback.

Ah I'm afraid I don't think I can live up to the eminence title as I was only a minor contributor: I only worked on the OXP list and no other parts of the wiki. I'm not a wiki expert either but worked out what was necessary to make the list. Also unfortunately I never worked on Oolite's code base. I expect you know a lot more than I do. I really appreciate your efforts to clean things up.

I'm sorry?
I rather fear that you might be labouring under a massive misapprehension. A chap who liberally strews around terms such as jscal and jstest-gtk?
And you
really think that this dumb pilot knows more than you do? To me they sound like the maniacal mutterings of a revivified Thargoid who has just been sat on by a bloated batrachian.
You actually sound as though you know they might mean something.

Just wanted to note: As soon as an OXP gets published via the Expansion Manager, it also ends up in this index:
https://ooliteproject.github.io/oolite- ... n-catalog/
The index tries to link back to the wiki once you found an item of interest. This does not (yet) always work, but it has already lead to great improvements.

That's super! I'm delighted to see that the way OXPs are handled is much improved especially the OoliteStarter that you worked on.
