here are some ships I have made finally ready for release,
please can someone upload them to the wiki, or if not possible onto their box.net account (do not link to my 4shared account because if I forget to enter once a month all the files will get deleted), for about a month they are downloadable here:

Staer9: that 'Spectre' looks great. However, another OXP already contains a ship with that name. So I fear you'd best rename your ship.

My ship is actually called the Staer9 Spectre, so no worries

I'll downloaded the ships and give them a go!

tell me what you think, there could be some errors in the plists, I found and fixed shipyard ones that where adding an extra 1,200,000cr to the price, but I think it is bug free now.

What are the stats of those ships? Some of them look pretty good!

Spectre: very small, pretty fast, low cargo space (very low), everything can be fitted, low shield, low energy recharge, 3 energy bars, cost 200,000Cr, 2 missiles

Xeikil: medium sized (slightly smaller than a cobramk3), fast, low cargo space, everything can be fitted, high shield, high energy recharge, 5 energy bars, cost 450,000Cr, 5 missiles

Scout: small, very fast, no cargo, everything can be fitted, medium shield, high energy recharge, 5 energy bars, 5 missiles, cost 200,000Cr (probably needs to be risen to 350,000Cr)

The thargoid hunter is finished, new smooth texture... however, for some strange reason, no matter what I do it won't work in the game, I followed exactly the same procedure that I did with the others but it wont appear in demoships or anything. why?

this is a test release, it is not playable due to some bugs, dont download this oxp if you want to fly it (for the final oxp it will be npc only)

The model in the shipdata.plist is listed as "thargoidhunter.dat", whereas the actual .dat file is called "thargoid_hunter.dat".
Correct that and you should be fine. There would probably have been messages in the latest.log file. Try looking there to begin with if you have problems - they often give you useful information.

Interesting looking ships!

My first thought on seeing the pic of the Xeikil was to wonder if it might be a lobsteroid world's take on something like a "Robotech" sort of concept.

hmmm you are not the first to say the Xeikil looks like a lobster, Daddyhoggy said the same thing

My first thought on it was that it was a cross between a podracer and some sort of mechanical repair/service ship... Why, I'm not too sure...

it is intended to be a pirate/pirate hunter, high spec, fighter ship
or an interceptor, hence the huge jets on the sides

I just added the Hauler P30, Staer9 Spectre and Scout to the [wiki]OXP List[/wiki]. I also wanted to add the Thargoid Hunter to the WIP section but saw that the OXP is not available for download anymore.
