Can you try this version: ETT_Homing_Beacon_1.03.oxz
If it loads successfully on your Mac without any log file warnings/errors, I'll call it fixed and upload it to the manager.

Umm....

Hiran's current version of his master-work stipulates the following:

Name 			    Cost  	Tech-Level
Beacon Launcher 	     800 		11+
Beacon 			50,000 		100+
Beacon Missile 		     860 		13+
Having been reading the older threads it seems that the beacon itself is a redeployable "mine". Not too sure why the TL for the beacon is 100!

Yes, the extra equipment item is defined in the file, but the TechLevel of 99 (ie 100) means it will never to offered to the player by default. It usually means, if the item is designed to be used directly by the player, it will be added to the player via a script or some other logic. You also end up with these messages in the log file:
