Oolite Bulletins

How many times, you have arrived in a new galaxy or needed a special equipment only available at certain TL. And if the wiki is down you can not reach the galaxy maps.

Or you want to find out about milk runs.

This equipment gives enough information about the galaxy you are in.

You can activate it by F6 F6 and then F5 while docked, or by priming Galaxy Info by shift(n) N and pressing n again.

It will display the systems with the selected criteria and will try to locate the nearest system to your position.

Known problems.

Since this Equipment is heavily based on System.infoForSystem, confirmed bug will not display the system. As an example you wont be able to display any system with TL 14 in G8.

I can make a fix to the OXP about those systems, but I prefer the trunk code to be correct to keep consistancy.

I have dowloaded them all, but most of the new beginners will not think about that

I tried this out but I couldn't get it to work.

lave: This OXP requires Oolite v1.75. You are advised to upgrade, as v1.74.2 is well outdated now and soon there will be very few OXPs still compatible with it.

shift n followed by n works - very impressive

though can't get F6 F6 F5 to work when docked.

Stupit question, but did you buy the equipment?

I am using 1.75.0 and it works. You must go to galactic chart by F6,F6 and press F5 from there.

Definitely bought it as it works fine when in flight.

When docked, pressing F6 takes me to the short range chart, pressing F6 again goes to the galactic chart, pressing F5 takes me back to the ships equipment screen

It does work fine with me, actually there was a small bug which colided with longrangescanner, I am using windows vista. What operating system are you using.

I have the same problem as DGill. In-flight the equipment works, but docked it is not accessible. I'm flying Oolite v1.75.1 on Windows 2008 Server.
