Oolite Bulletins

Thought i'd give this a whirl. it won't let me.
i'm running XP on a quadcore, when i clicked the icon (v1.4 of the exe) i got a message "wings failed to start : 14001".
a forum suggested a reload selecting to include the Windows DLLs. did that, now when i click a black window flashes up for a fraction of a second, and vanishes. and that's it.

any thoughts/help/ideas?

They might well not test wings3d 1.4 on xp (it's now an officially unsupported platform) in that case you might well be out of luck.

However you should still be able to download & run 1.2 without problems (at least I don't have probs with xp & dual core):

Even without the 1.4 tweaks 1.2 is really good! 1.3 is the unstable intermediate release, so not advised at all.

So why am I still using 0.99.00b? (Downloading as we speak.)
