Awesome tool Okti.

Hopefully your LRS will help me finding that constrictor that's been stolen and that keeps eluding me.

thanks again.

It certainly does funny things with the lollipops on your scanner! The jump to it feature is a bit of fun especially for any metal fragments that fly soooooooooo far out it takes 10 minuets on torus drive to get back.

It can be used for the bounty hunters who likes to see if he got em all before docking. If not, it's time to go hunting

But It really is a real cheat though.

Also the license applied in the script doesn't match the license in the readme (which looks somewhat familiar 8) ). And as aforementioned, it seems to install as version 0.0 as a folder name?

Exactly what I'll be using it for (instead of pause - dump entities - resume).

Actually always at TL 15 and only sometimes at TL 14. I happen to fly in G3 and according to the Wiki Galaxy 3 page there is no TL 15 in G3. I assume I must frequently visit the TL 14 ones until I find one for sale. :(

I think you are right. equipment.plist refers to 14 and if it is 0 based then it will be available only at TL 15 systems.

As a temprorary solution could you please change 14 to 13.

Everything in computers is 0 based.

I mean, obviously even your version numbering is!

Sometimes it will be available at TL 14, but only at a random chance. I think that about 1 out of 8 times you enter such a system, there is equipment offered from one level higher. So it could be available at the value used in the equipment.plist but on one level higher it is always available.

Okti: thanks for making this - I like it. It's a good idea. :D

However, I do find that sometimes the jump to/target function just doesn't work. Also, those two options, when they do work, have the same effect - on my system. Perhaps that is because I have 'target autolock' installed?

Finally: if it is meant to be a *scanner*, and not a cheat, would it be possible to replace the 'jump to/target' with something that would allow the player to *navigate* to the target? Perhaps you could create a symbol - or use the inbuilt 'current target' symbol - on the Advanced Space Compass?

Hi UK_Eliter,

Thanks for the compliment.

Unfortunatly you can only target to entities in scanner range. And you can not add beacon programatically at the moment. But if you select to Target option your ships direction changes toward the selected entity and if you travel in that direction you have a good chance to find your target.

Sometimes the Jump to future can fail if the entity is destroyed while you are trying to select it. Does it happen to the entities on the last pages of the display?

And what sort of operating system you are using?

Okti

I'm use Windows XP Home.

Thanks for the clarifications. The problem was that I trying to reach ships out of scanner range. That said, a target was once lost when I tried to jump to it, but I think I received a message saying that it had been destroyed. So there's nothing to worry about, I think - except, perhaps, that you should provide some instructions within the download (and perhaps some information/caveats within the OXP screen itself; also, having some ability to scroll more quickly through that screen would be good, I feel).

Cheers.

Hi All,

There is a new new equipment for Long Range Scanner called Jump Planner.

This equipment allows you to break 7 LY limit for destination system.

Thanks to Mauiby de Fug to allow me to release an OXP based on his Idea.

The OXP can be can be downloaded from here
