Should you get a warning message when Trumbles snack on your cargo, or should I leave this as a nasty surprise for the pilot?

could there be some alternate way to satisfy them so they'll leave the goods alone?
I think sensors may notice that the cargo is diminishing, and there's a chance of an in-progress report.
is there no benefit to keeping Trumbles?

Not as canon with the C64 Elite, but I'm wide open to script suggestions.

I think there should be a warning, then the player will know that it's not a bug (thus reducing the amount of players who will post on here saying 'hey, I'm spntaneously losing all my edible cargo!!!')
Trumbles shouldn't have any positives...vermin...to be wiped out.
I remember the Great Trumble Hunt of '54...four hundred thousand trumbles wiped out with the loss of only one human... Good times indeed.

maybe the patient commander will find out their droppings are some precious substance. or fiendish narcotic..
furs?
I made an ad-board before I was deprived of photoshop, demanding of me every skill I learned in the unscrupulous advertising industry.
surely there must be an upshot.

if we can dump cargo, could we not jettison the trumbles.
if u have enough they would form a cloud to confuse your foe!

What about a message from customs, when docking? Like they're none too happy you bring pest aboard, make it a bit cryptic first, so people that do not know the og. trumbles get half a clue it's part of the game, not a bug... Then get more serious, like customs yelling att you to get rid of them before they spread and eat everything etc...

Oh, and selling/buying another ship loophole shouldn't work, or at a hefty penalty (buyer: 'trumbles? aaargh! Hm, i'll take it off your back for **crazy low sum**")

It's only normal, man!
Would you pay the full price for a cockroach-infested but otherwise great looking sportscar? (Assuming this cockroach variant only dies when you do a sunskim... Errrr...)

*me imagining windshield, splattered with multi-coloured cock..errrr...trumbles*
Oh, on topic again:
In spacetrader, some trumbles O.D.-ed on the narcotics, dying, and you'd find... furs in your cargoholds!
