sorry, can't recall where it was but i think someone (Griff?) was after some night textures for planet shaders. just stumbled across this one of Earth, might be of use.

Nice pict. I noticed that the river Nile in Egypt is the only river that recognizable by its lights. From the Aswan dam till the coast.
