Anybody got an alternative location for the Furball OXP?

The link in the Wiki is not working...

Caracal’s site has been down for a while… I have the oxp, but I’m not sure if I can pass it on, as I don’t know the license conditions.

That's fine - hopefully the site will be up again soon.

Likewise, I have this but...
The readme isn't much help either, as it just refers you to the website, which as E.V. mentions is down at the moment.
Having said that the Wiki entry does specify it's been released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, which suggests it can be shared.

Yeah, it does imply that. I've PM'ed Caracal, but I doubt that I'll get an answer anytime soon... we'll see.

Can I host this oxp in my box? Any advice from an expert on CC licenses would be welcome.

Well, I'm not an expert, however the first point mentioned on

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/

clearly means you can distribute it. As long as that licence is mentioned inside caracal's original file, you can definitely host that on box.net.

Thanks Kaks... I'll get that sorted later.

Well, that's the thing. It's not. The readme inside the oxp simply states "Full description of the Furball OXP is at http://www.niestu.com/oolite/Furball/ ".

As long as that site is unavailable, all we have is second-hand information at best. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but this is yet another example of why clear and unambiguous license files inside the oxp are, if not an absolute necessity, highly desirable.

It'll have to come out.

So will the oxp… I’ll take the license declaration on the Furball Wiki page as ‘good enough’.
Hopefully only temporarily, Caracal’s Furball oxp can be downloaded here.

Would a Wiki wizard be kind enough to add a temporary link and explanation to the Wiki page.

Thank you all.

Looking forward to some Furball action! But will have to wait for the trusty laptop to recharge as I killed the battery last night doing a corner to corner passenger run.

Multiple minor wrongness

My auto-eject module put me inside a thargoid carrier (after I'd been attacked not only by the thargoids but also by at least one Renegade). I tooled up in the carrier - that is wrongness #1. Then, on launching, there was a 'furball'. Wrongness #2!
