...so quite a few OXPs are not accessible at the moment. I PM'ed Winston.

[edit] It is back up. Nonetheless, all OXPs that were still hosted there are now on box.net and received Wiki pages if they didn't have them already.

I just went through the archived copy of oosat 2 at the wayback machine, dated 2008-07-13, and copied all OXP descriptions that didn't make it onto the Wiki so far to the respective pages or created new ones where they were missing. [edit: I also went through oosat 1 to gather information that was missing in the Wiki and added it where appropriate.]

Pending the resurrection of oosat2, I propose to host OXPs that are not accessible at the moment in my box.net account. Unfortunately, the wayback machine only had one OXP file archived. The ones that are missing are
  • aphidv2.oxp_.zip
  • clearskies.oxp_.zip
  • cobra3njx.zip
  • CustomSounds.zip
  • Diso.zip
  • dwcobra3.zip, dwcobra3HiRes.zip
  • ettBeaconLauncher.zip
  • ferdepai.oxp_.zip
  • Firewasp.zip
  • Longshot.zip
  • manta.oxp_.zip
  • outrider.zip
  • Pelamis.zip
  • phoenix.zip
  • PTI.zip, PTI_bugfix11.zip
  • RenegadesV3.zip
  • seosu.zip
  • Spearhead.zip
  • s-ships1.zip
  • StarWars.zip
  • Terrapin.zip
  • tescoura.zip
  • TGY.zip
If someone has them please send them my way: maik.schulz almost-circled-a gmail com and I will upload them.

All but these 5 are on my hard drive.

clearskies.oxp_.zip

dwcobra3.zip

outrider.zip

s-ships1.zip

StarWars.zip

It'll take me a little while to send them all though, my connexion isn't particularly speedy these days.

Edit: All done. Let me know if any failed to make the transit in one piece.

Edit2: Sent TransHab as well, since that was the one that started the whole thing...

I think Oosat is working okay... I've just downloaded four out of that five, CR (that includes both versions of the DWCobra).
If you need them, I'll put them in my box.

I'm fairly certain the reason they're not already on my hard drive is that I had no interest in them.
Cannot say for certain, since I don't recall what they all contain, but still.
(I've got the hires dwc, so that's why the other is missing)

I've just tried it, does it normally come up with a lot of warning messages? I can access the files on there but I have to scroll past the error messages to get to what I want.

No, I just went straight from the wiki link to the download... no warnings.

edit: ah, I see what you mean... just tried the Oosat page... loads of warnings.

Same for me. Downloaded 3 of my missing 5 by following link from wiki. No trouble at all.

Seems like I've filled maik's mailbox for no good reason!

Oh well… I’ll keep them in my box, just in case. I couldn’t find S-Ships, though.

:D

It seems Oosat2 is back up, it didn't respond at all earlier. The warning messages have been there for a number of months already, it simply is in a very sorry state.

Thanks, CheeseRedux, for sending the OXPs, they are all up on box.net now and I linked to them from the Wiki pages.

If nothing else, at least quite a few OXPs now have their own Wiki pages and a lot of older pages have been fleshed out a bit with information from Oosat2.

Timing… it’s all about timing. It’s a good move to have them stored elsewhere.

I put the remaining ones up on box.net now as well. As far as I can tell there is no dependency on Oosat2 from the Wiki anymore. Rest in Peace, we barely knew ye.

I've got S-Ships but not the readme file, can be downloaded here.

They are cleverly disguised as "Selezen's S-Ships" on the wiki. And the dowload worked for me, so I now have a local copy.

Speaking of local copies:
I've been toying with the idea of utilizing this snazzy feature that has been included in the world's best browser for some time now. Though I haven't really tested things out, it appears to me that it would allow me to open up my anything-oolite-related-ever-downloaded folder to anyone with the correct password. If we had a small cluster of those, it would pretty much ensure other options if the main download location crashed.
