OK, so I got bored again. To pass the time I decided to add a cheat menu to the game. Makes available the following cheats:
- Award of 1000 credits.
- Increase of rank (or awarding of 100 kills for Elite ranked players).
- Clearing of legal status back to clean.
- Repair of any damaged equipment on the ship.
- Enhancement to energy recharge rate (switchable on/off).
- Suppression of NPC missiles, except for Thargoid drones (switchable on/off).
- Fuel tank refilled after every witchspace jump (switchable on/off).
- Suppression of NPC capability to ECM missiles (switchable on/off).
- Limited invulnerability (switchable on/off)
Not for the serious, honest, decent and upstanding commander, but fun for those who just want to kill things. All free, gratis and no charge (except for your conscience)

I am taken aback and flabbergasted!
Where does it go from here?
Next thing I know somebody makes an OXP with some
ridiculously over the top powerful weapons.
O tempora, o mores!

(primarily @ Thargoid, or anyone else that can answer my question)
I am not really interested in cheating per se,
But I can think of ONE (possibly) reason to keep this OXP (I have already installed it)...
Back when I last played Oolite heavily (1.73.(something)), the Cloaking Device was non-repairable (I think?) Thats what I got from forum chatter, anyway... I never got as far as the mission, computer probs imposed this haitus between 1.73.(something) and now 1.74.2.
IF under 1.74.2, the Cloaking Device can't normally be repaired at stations, and IF this OXP *CAN* repair it, then THAT is one reason to keep this OXP, whether or NOT I intend to cheat.
Along the same lines... under 1.73.(something), as I recall from forum chatter, when the player completes the appropriate mission and receives a Naval Energy Unit, THEN that equipment is ADDED to the stores (offered for sale) at stations of a certain TL and above (if I remember, it was TL 13+); AND from that mission onwards the Naval Energy Unit can be repaired (at stations). Please confirm? Or, if not, then this is a SECOND (similar) reason to keep this OXP ( *IF* this OXP can repair the Cloaking Device and Naval Energy Unit).
... Thanks

Hi JeffBTX,
Not sure about Oocheat, but I can confirm from personal experience that the
repairbots/self repair system OXP can fix both Cloaking devices and Naval Energy Units, although being complex they do take quite a long time to repair.
If you are as careless as me you'll find they are one of the best investments you can make.

Smivs;
Thanks... I didn't know that. I had a big gap, due to some computer problems, between Oolite 1.73.(something) and 1.74.2. I am still catching up with the latest developments.

There are a couple of OXPs capable of repairing a broken cloaking device. Other than Repair Bots, also the Hacker Outposts can repair it, if you have Anarchies.oxp installed.
And you're right on the Naval Energy Unit. Once you have earned it through the mission, it becomes a normal piece of equipment, albeit with a high techlevel of 14 (which makes it repairable in stations with TL 13 and above).

Yes, ooCheat can fix both (and indeed anything else at all in the game).
It would hardly be cheating otherwise...

Commander McLane and Thargoid;
Thanks for the info.
I will keep ooCheat in a backup folder in case I need it.
