I don't know how or if it could be done.

When buying pylon mounted equipment, could it be choosen which pylon it is to be mounted on?

I recon this would be great for Cmd'rs that use the same ship for long times.

Wouldn't have to look see where last re-stock put pylon item, coz it would be where they put it.

No need to mess with 'toggle pylon' But knowing where you normally stow your stuff and being able to set it on purchase would help frenzzied fire fights a lot.

It came up when I tried to missile a baddy with a spare fuel tank??

As per the other thread, I somehow seem to remember that we have that already. But it's a while since I bought something pylon-mounted, so I can be wrong.

When something is used/fired from a pylon we can instantly repopulate that pylon (before everything shuffles along), but there still can't be spaces. That was the "old fashioned" way of doing it (up to around v1.72, or perhaps v1.73) and I must admit personally I prefer the "orderly queue" method rather than the fixed pylon one.

But then I could also say if it's a particular problem then go and find yourself a Vortex, then you can have a separate missile bay just for non-combat equipment
