Going into 'Lurk-mode'

Post by pagroove »

Hi,

Due to various RL-issues I have less times on my hand to participate fully on the OXP-front. I will follow the forum though but I'm not able to fully update my oxp's or test things.

When I'm out of 'lurk' and back into active I will let you know.
I'm working on an OXP-site for my own OXP's but that is due to the fact that I'm learning HTML and CSS. So that site will be a sort of 'learning project'.

Greetings,
P.A. Groove

Your comments shall be missed. Still fixing RL is paramount.

Enjoy your 'Lurk', PAG.
You'll have fun learning HTML and CSS, but they're very useful skills.
For CSS the best reference by far I've found is "CSS The Missing Manual"by David Sawyer McFarland. It is very detailed but easy to follow for the novice, and also has a lot of useful stuff on IE workarounds.
There are plenty of good works on HTML, but I tend to refer to the W3C tutorials which are excellent. There is now a whole section on HTML 5 which is going to be ever more useful.
You might also find this web-page useful, and this list of ascii and HTML codes is also invaluable.
The best colour chart I've found is this one.
Best of luck,
Smivs.

Yeah you all can keep sending PM's. It's not that I'm in quarantine. But just a little less time on my hands

But we stay in touch and you can keep consulting me for making descriptions about the BGS.
