Printing mission screens

Post by UK_Eliter »

Dear all

I don't know whether anyone has suggested this before, but can one (/could we make it such that one can) print the mission screens?

PS: Admittedly, I didn't try, when a mission screen was displaying, pressing the PRINT SCR key; and I suppose I could use screen-grabbing software.

What are you trying to do? Is it just for the purposes of remembering stuff? I think a very useful feature to suggest in that case would be a "Commander's Log", such that you could not only record your own personal notes, but that it also contained mission information. (this would be separate from the communications log).

There's plenty of free screen capture software if you need some suggestions.

PrntScrn when you are on the mission screen of choice, launch MS Paint, paste, save to disk. Job done.

Screenshots using the * key work on the missions screens.

For example, here is one I took on completion of the Nova mission.:

Dear all

I didn't know about the '*' key function, and I didn't know that one could use PrntScn before running MS Paint.

Thanks everyone. :D
PS: Darkbee - yes, the purpose is simply to have a record of stuff.

Before I forget, the * in question is shift-8, not the one on the keypad.

That is a really strange pic, McLane.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Go on then, I've got to ask... who or what is 'Sam'?

Ah, thanks Svengali... shows how long it's been since I saw the Muppet Show.
I always liked Waldorf and Statler the best.

I find that Sam makes much more beautiful facepalms than that guy from that space-trekking show whom everybody seems to know best. :P He is especially prone to it in the panel discussions from the first season of the Muppet Show. Unfortunately no stills of that seem to exist in the intertubes. The one I found is a quite recent one, from the Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody. :)
