District 9 - Is this why the Thargoids hate us?

Just watched
District 9 and noticed some (almost certainly cooincidental) corelations:
Insectoid species often of similar exoskeliton colouration to those that Thargoids ships are decked out in. Big round ship.
Maybe the mistreatment of the 'Prawns' at the hands of the human race back in the 21st century explains why the Thargoids attack us (and any race that freely associates with us) so vigorously.
Might hava a point!

Hi,
I have seen District 9 as well (awesome movie, by the way), and You might just be right!
After some of us have been eating their limbs, they use us to implant eggs, I guess....

Someone said we attacked Thargoids first. Someone said they attacked us first.
I read either theories in fanfiction tales involving Thargoids.
Who know the truth? It's obviously out of there, but now we should defend ourselves, so no time for speculations and start your engines, Galactic Navy Awaits You!

Lack of a mutually understandable language has hampered relations. The Thargoids have a massive superiority when it comes to hand to hand combat. In space they are uncompromising in a fight.
It has been postulated that like ants they are just mindless enactors of a higher creatures will. If this is so we have never met a "queen".
They cannot be placated, threatened or dissuaded from a task. Invariably fighting to the last sentient. They are an uncompromising enemy.
