Isis Interstellar is proud to announce the launch of their new Sothis space station.

Following the critical acclaim and success of the Nuit station, Isis Interstellar began looking into a follow-up project. Although feedback on the Nuit was generally favourable, it was noted in many reports that the station was overly large for several potential customers, especially since the long docking struts were not being used. To this end, Isis Interstellar decided to come up w/ a compact design of comparable size to a standard Coriolis station. A research & development phase was followed by an intense construction and testing phase at the Faukenhewj Shipyards, and a working prototype, including a new navigational buoy, was produced in surprisingly short order. The resulting Sothis station has been a major hit w/ both corporations wanting a modern headquarters, and individuals wanting a status symbol.

Just downloaded it from your site. When I unzipped it I noticed there wasn't a folder called sothis.oxp to contain all the individual folders. I had to create it by hand.

Anyway, it looks like a good addition to the game. Thanks. :D

Looks really lovely K_W, really nice clean designs on the hull greeblies, must have taken ages placing all the hull lights!

Yes, I had the same problem with the wasp.oxp. For both I noticed on downloading that my download window showed "xxx.oxp.zip" but after unzipping also the .oxp was not there. For experienced ooliteers no problem as they will recognise the missing extension on the main folder, but novices will definitely have problems with this.
Specially for the mac user is an oxp is not a folder but a file. Oolite contains code that makes that every folder ending on ".oxp" turns into a single file (package) with its own icon. Most mac users won't realise that the downloaded folder can be turned into an oxp by just adding the extension because they don't expect a folder.

cheers for the comments.
i mention the zipper thing in the read me, which obviously no one did :-D
dunno what goes on w/ that, i've had random events w/ stuff i download, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it spreads the inner folders about, i haven't figured out a common theme to it :-/

edit : does the buoy look ok? pretty different to the regular one, i thought a bit of a change would make things a little more distinctive.

Awesome!! Indeed very original and still very recognisable as buoy.

I think we have more than enough stations now so now we need is some special missions from those stations.

For example Sothis or Super Hub - missions. These new stations are 2 beautiful to be 'normal' stations.

Nuit station is already there but may need updating.

Just found one enroute to the planet--it looks gorgeous, very shiny, even better than in the pics posted here!

cheers :-)

i must admit, Griff's shaders make them look far better than i could ever have hoped my efforts to look. Lights look especially great, i put glowing lamps on the buoy and you can see them glowing in the dark, it looks fantastic compared to what it woulda been w/ just my PShop attempts.
