I think you just edit your original post and add the word [SOLVED] to the title.

I tried that before I posted my question - I can edit anything in the body, but it won't let me edit the title, so I'm guessing it must be a moderator thing (maybe people with right to move a thread are the ones with rights to edit the title... [clutches at straw... misses?])

You should be able to edit the thread title, in the first post... try again, maybe.

Aha! The problem was that I was out of allowable title length - I couldn't ADD any more. Great - sorted, and now we can all stop wasting our time in this obsolete thread hehehe
