Yep I think it's the graphic card too, Eric. This night I tried changing res, but it was even worse.
My ship list:

Cobra MK 3 - Lepka
Dragon M - Smaug
Python - Boa Pitonato
Cobra MK 3 - Lepka II
Now in a Python ET Special - Shark Panzer

Update: after installing Oolive 1.74.1 and turning off shader, I was able to enjoy Random Hits without dropping in FPS.
My ship list:
