Was the Yaw control deleted from Oolite?
I find Yaw left and right in the Oolite Keyboard Controls on the wiki, and folks make reference to it in postings, but there are no such controls defined in the keyconfig.plist.
My version is 1.65-gbuild2, running on Ubuntu 9.10 (from the Karmic Repositories)
I don't have a joystick installed.

It was introduced well after 1.65. The current Oolite version is 1.74, see
http://oolite.org/download.shtml !
The Karmic repository is only showing 1.65, since all more recent versions have been labelled test, as opposed to stable.
As a matter of fact, they're more stable than 1.65. In the hopefully near-ish future we should actually have a release labelled stable, but until then, no ubuntu repositories will host anything recent...
Oh, and welcome to the friendliest forum this side of Riedquat!

Hi, and welcome to the Board. My first suggestion is to upgrade to the new 1.74 release...the one you have is well out of date now. It can be obtained via Synaptic...I'm running 1.74 on Karmic myself. If you're not sure how, let us know and we'll point you in the right direction.
As for the keyboard Yaw controls, I'm afraid someone else will have to answer that. I use a joystick, which has a nice little wheel thingy I use for yaw control.

Yaw is on the left and right arrow keys.
Found it!

First, my apologies for posting in Suggestion Box, which was the wrong forum. I don't know how I managed that.
Anyway, I wasn't able to find the newer release in any of the Ubuntu repositories, so I installed the autopackaged version from the oolite web site, and I'm running it successfully now. I have Yaw! On the comma and period, just where it belongs.
Gonna dig out the Joystick from the Flight Sim gear and see if I can get it to work.
Many thanks.
Reporting back, with thanks

Now I have a working joystick, a bit more experience, and about 500 cr ammassed from shipping. Still can't afford anything for the ship
I also got blown out of the sky once by a group of four of something, that jus swooped down on me and did me in before I could even get my nose pointed at them. Oh well. Save early and often, I always say.
Anyway, t'is fun.

If you haven't got one yet, get a large cargo bay...400Cr from pretty much anywhere. You'll make more money faster
