From todays log -

Code: Select all

[ship.escortSetup.wtf]: Pending escort count for <StationEntity 0xd2aa920>{"NavyCondor" "NavyCondor" ID: 113 position: (-14076.5, 643.735, 40900.7) scanClass: CLASS_NEUTRAL status: STATUS_ACTIVE} is 6, expected 0. This is an internal error, please report it.
[dataCache.willWrite]: About to write data cache.
[dataCache.write.success]: Wrote data cache.
[shipEntity.setupEscorts.escortShipCircularReference]: ----- WARNING: Ship <ShipEntity 0xa1bb0d0>{"Ixian Gunship" ID: 187 position: (-5195.42, -8059.13, 327274) scanClass: CLASS_NEUTRAL status: STATUS_IN_FLIGHT} requested escorts, when it is an escort ship itself. Avoiding possible circular reference overflow by ignoring escort setup.
[ship.escortSetup.wtf]: Pending escort count for <StationEntity 0x7f6bcf816230>{"Navy Constitution" "Navy Constitution" ID: 245 position: (76460.1, -25607.8, 798268) scanClass: CLASS_POLICE status: STATUS_ACTIVE} is 5, expected 0. This is an internal error, please report it.
[ship.escortSetup.wtf]: Pending escort count for <StationEntity 0x7f6bdc4d9320>{"NavyCondor" "NavyCondor" ID: 277 position: (-12498.8, 1631.9, 483592) scanClass: CLASS_POLICE status: STATUS_ACTIVE} is 6, expected 0. This is an internal error, please report it.
I get the circular reference warnings a lot but main point is the 'please report it' for internal errors.

Sorry about that 1.73.4.

In that case, I think Eric’s fixed it.

It is not fixed in ver. 5.2.2 which is what I have and the latest on the wiki, or there a patch coming in another version?

I think he means it's fixed in 1.74 (as in it's an Oolite problem not an OXP one).

None of the ships you mention is from GN. The navy condor is from Condor.oxp and the other ship from Xian_ships.oxp. None gives errors on using trunk with me.

Actually both. A clean oxp should not set up circular references in the first place. But hard to catch with a lot of like_ship references. Therefor its a good thing that oolite double checks these things before adding the ships.
The internal error is an other thing, but I haven't seen this report for a long time, so it is probably fixed while working on other related stuff.

Perhaps that should be Ixian_ships http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Ixian_Ships

Ah of course, then where is 'Navy Constitution' from? It's not from Galactic Navy.

That is also a ship of Charlie, like the Condor. Has 274 subentities of which most are flashers. Also very likely to bug with other oxp's because of badly chosen subentity names like: "bridge", "pylons", "nacelles" etc. Any other oxp, using these same general names will starts using each others subentities.
It has been part of the RS package. I have only that version. There the Constitution is also defined as a "hermit-ship" (launched by rock hermits as defence-ship). Strange as it is defined as a carrier with docks itself and probably even bigger than those rocks.
