Changing the player ship model **RESOLVED**

Hello everybody and thanks for recreating the game that nearly caused me to fail all of my exams 25 years ago
Loving Oolite so far and have added a bunch of content to expand the experience. I've recently upgraded to a Python Class Cruiser and I'm very happy with it but the model is a bit crude (no disrespect to the creator). I'm trying to change the PCC 2.6 model as supplied with that OXP to the Neolite version without any success I'm afraid. I managed to follow the thread to change the default Cobby to the shiney Griff model but no joy with the Neolite rendition of the PCC.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks.

The Neolite ship sets are designed as straight replacements. If you install the Neolite companion from the
Neolite wiki page (under downloads), the model is automatically replaced.
And welcome to the friendliest board this side of Reidquat, as the traditional greeting goes (my first time
)

Yes, that's what I expected to happen. However, after installing the Neolite Companion OXP I get the Neolite renditions of the ships it is supposed to replace with the exception of the PCC.
This is true for player model, the PCCs on sale and the ones I encounter.
Thanks for the welcome

Welcome to the Pleasuredome, homeless!
Where Everything has its place and there is a place for Everything.
And Anything can happen.
My humble suggestion would be ( given that you did not try that already ):
Deinstall oOlite completely, reinstall the game and this time install
the neolite-set without trying to make the griff-cobra mk III
the playership.
Take care of your saved game and left toes °winks°

If you still encounter the PCC 2.6 I assume you haven't removed the old OXP. You shouldn't use them both. Because the PCC 2.6 is later (alphabetically) it overwrites the Neolite PCC. If you want them both to appear, you will have to change the names in the shipdata and shipyard plist in one of the OXP's (the PCC 2.6 is easiest).
Oh, and restart Oolite with the shift key pressed to clear the cache. Good luck!

Thanks Pluisje! That did the job.
I was under the impression that the PCC 2.6 OXP provided all the data required plus a model/skin and Neolite just changed the skin. I'm still getting the hang of how all these OXPs (and I have a lot
) work. I deleted the PCC 2.6 OXP and now everything looks how I want it.
Excellent! I now have a ship that is both capable
and sexy!
Look out G2.
