Hi everyone,

I have been playing Oolite quite extensively over the past weeks, am using a fair number of OXPs from various contributors, read most of the fiction and frequent the bulleting board. I am deeply humbled and very impressed by what you have created. Oolite maintains the feel of Elite but goes far beyond it, it captivates me and tickles my fantasy while I roam the galaxy and marvel at the beauty. And last not least are you a thoroughly nice bunch as far as I can tell from the boards.

Again, thanks!

For a motley collection of brigands, pirates, privateers, hunters, traders etc…
… yeah, we are a thoroughly nice bunch.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Glad you enjoyed! And ...

"welcome to the friendliest board this side of Reidquat"

... there done it! First time ever! 8)

Would be interested in what your thoughts were on our 'online presence'. Did you find the homepage first, the wiki, the fiction? Was it easy to navigate and find stuff? Good to have you aboard anyway.
bulleting board
Yeah, occasionally gets like that...

Cheers,

Drew.

I found the homepage first, but don't recall how. I think I was browsing Ian Bell's Elite pages, went through the (mostly broken) links and then probably asked google about Elite and OS X or Wikipedia about Elite. From the Oolite homepage I found the boards and the wiki.

The homepage and the boards are easy to navigate, the wiki has some good entry points but what I am missing is a main section about Oolite development (maybe with sub-sections on scripting and core development). The information is there but you have to search for it. Or I am blind ;-)

You definitely have to look for it. The whole reference section could do with a bit of reorganising, but it's something we'll be able to concentrate on once the now mythical next stable release (with stable-ish APIs) is finally out. :)

Oh, and you're welcome! :D
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)
